Skinomi TechSkin goes beyond traditional screen protectors, skins, covers, and cases. This cell phone protector is made from clear thermoplastic urethane film – the same film used to protect military aircrafts and NASA space shuttles. It has the ability to resist high levels of abrasion, making it the ultimate protector for gadgets and devices. The film “scratch-proofs” your device without adding bulk like traditional cases. Skinomi TechSkin is designed to provide lifetime protection for your device. If the film ever wears or scratches, Skinomi will replace it for free, for as long as you need it for your device. If you ever need to remove the TechSkin, it peels off easily leaving no residues unlike other screen protectors or skins.

The setup is a little tedious, but all good things require work! If you don’t mind a little bit of time to put the protector on then this is perfect, but if not i would not recommend it for you.

I purchased this item for my iphone 4, I tried to use it with my ifrogs case, but just like the other reviewer the protector peels up at the corners and can not be used. – all you can do to make it work is try to trim it down and make it fit – which is really hard to do after trying to put it on initially. This would be the perfect screen protector if it was sized smaller to actually work with a case. If I can’t find another brand which is sized smaller, I might order one more and trim it down.

I purchased this item with the hope of finding a good iPhone 4 screen protection. Unfortunately, this product is unusable and misleading. Screen protector (only one in the package) is extremely difficult to install (comparing to other screen protectors I used on my older iPhone 3). Spray included in the package makes the whole installation very messy with a danger of getting liquid into iPhone mike or other parts. Screen protector is very soft and stretchy – once again, impossible to install and align correctly.

Ofter big strugle with the installation – I noticed that screen protector is NOT perfectly clear. It makes the iPhone screen HAZY.

Lifetime replacement is bogus. I was unable to contact the vendor – phone has a full mailbox. You have to pay for shipping costs and restocking fee. Bottom line – useless.

    Stay Away from this product!

  4. Michael Walton says:

I was a bit wary at first, given the unorthodox approach to applying this protector. But armed w/ rubbing alcohol, lint-free wipe, and the application kit, I was able to easily apply this protector and can say, w/out a doubt, it is leaps and bounds better than anything I’ve tried starting w/ the original iPhone and whatever makes of glossy/matte/privacy screen protectors I’ve rotated through for other iPhones.

+ perfect fit: application allows you to wiggle the protector around to get the best fit

+ clarity: once the protector is set, it is virtually invisible

+/- tactile feedback: the screen isn’t “slick” like glass anymore (and many other protectors), but has a bit of resistance

    - application is a bit tedious

Given the dispersion in the reviews, I’m guessing there was some early-supply issue w/ people getting 3GS screen protectors instead of the iPhone 4 version.

I don’t understand why people arguing about this product. I buy it on June 24 via Amazon. Also I buy a zagg invisible shield full body dry. After apply the zagg (cost $24.99) there’s bubbles around all the phone. I wait three days, because instruction said that wait two days for bubbles to disapeared, and it never happend. Then i remove the zagg, and apply the Skinomi. If you follow the instruction you will get the better iPhone 4 screen protector you’re ever found.
